Monty Python’s Terry Jones is no more, he has ceased to be, he’s expired and gone to meet his maker

He’s kicked the bucket, he’s shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible. He is an ex-human.

Original Monty Python member and Croydon’s Best Dressed Working Class Housewife of ’82 Terry Jones has died at 77, The Guardian reports. Jones was diagnosed in 2015 with primary progressive aphasia, a type of dementia that diminishes speech. By September 2016, he’d stopped doing public interviews, and in 2017, co-Monty Python member Michael Palin confirmed that his colleague wasn’t able to speak anymore.

Besides his surreal comedy credits with Monty Python, Jones was a writer, creator, and occasional director on a number of other film and TV projects, including cult-popular movies Erik the Viking and Labyrinth.

Jones is the second member of Monty Python to go pushing up the proverbial daisies, preceded by Graham “Not the Messiah, But a Very Naughty Boy” Chapman in 1989.
