For a limited time only, you’ll be able to get in on the Borderlands 3, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite action, even if you have no friends.
Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite was released towards the end of last year and is the first of a series of free Takedown events planned for Borderlands 3. Meant to be a significant endgame challenge, the Maliwan Blacksite should only be attempted at max level, with a party of four, since it’s crammed full of elite enemies and dying means being sent into spectator mode. So, what’s a Nigel no-friends to do? Other than head into the Public Matchmaking queue, I mean (shudder).
Well, between 16 and 30 January, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will be scaled in difficulty to match the number of players in your team, so everyone will have a chance to gather some premium loot, regardless of their social situation – inclusive! You should still be level 50 and packing some serious gear, though.
This event was meant to take place over New Year, but was delayed due to technical difficulties. After 30 January, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite will revert to its regular strength. Takedowns are permanent add-ons for Borderlands 3, so you don’t have to worry about them disappearing before you’re finished your 27th playthrough.
