For anyone who has just started playing any of the Witcher games, or is replaying them, because of Netflix’s The Witcher, and feel like they’re missing something, might I direct you to a couple of mods and remind you to toss a coin to your witcher.
Modders had already started adding Henry Cavill’s likeness to the Witcher 3 last year, long before the Netflix series came out, but the original mod has since been adapted to better match Geralt’s appearance in the show, due to some impressive work by Shadowphonic. The updated retexture ages Adnan4444’s Geralt a bit, gives him a paler complexion, and adds a subtle striga scar.
If you took a fancy to Anya Cholotra’s portrayal of Yennefer (because you’re, irunno, human), feel free to add her in, too, with this mod.
Then, if you’d just gotten it out of your head and needed a refresher, hub997 has added summer jam Toss a Coin to Your Witcher to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, using a cutscene mod. The result is… something. I don’t know who’s out there playing Witcher 2, but more power to you.
The likenesses in these mods is pretty good and I’m sure The Witcher 3’s unicorn scene won’t be awkward for either actor, at all.
