Warcraft III: Reforged

Stop poking me, Warcraft III: Reforged will be out in January

If you didn’t spend large quantities of your youth lugging your whole PC to that one friend’s house so you could LAN Warcraft III ’til the weird hours of the morning, soon you’ll get your chance to experience the magic with Warcraft III: Reforged.

Except, now, you’ll be able to use the Internet and Steve can only play for, like, an hour before he has to walk the dog, Talia has children that need to be fed at regular intervals, and everyone has to be in bed by 22:00 because they’ve got a Parkrun in the morning.

Warcraft III: Reforged is an amalgam of 2002’s Reign of Chaos and 2003’s The Frozen Throne and will include over 60 single-player campaign missions, 4K graphics and animation updates, and modern social and matchmaking features for online play. Reforged was meant to come out this year, but was delayed due to a need for finishing touches.

Anyway, Warcraft III was the actual best and the Reforged remaster is set for PC release on 28 January 2020 at  01:00 SAST (timezones FTW). It’s currently available to pre-purchase from the Blizzard Shop for about R430.

Blizzard has zero plans to make a Warcraft IV, in case you were wondering. Are you going to get in on the Reforged action or do you still have that cracked copy of Warcraft III on your laptop? It’s okay, we won’t judge you.
