Two Xbox 360 and PS3 PlatinumGames classics are expected to launch on now-gen consoles in 2020 as a combo deal, according to Microsoft’s website, featuring 4K support at 60 frames per second on Xbox One X.
Although not yet officially announced by publisher Sega, a Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle is now listed for Xbox One, with a 17 February release date. A PS4 version is presumably also in development.
Directed by Japanese industry icon Hideki Kamiya, Bayonetta is a glitter-glam Devil May Cry-’em-up about a witch who “rises from the depths after half a millennium in slumber with no recollection of her mysterious past” and kills bad guys with her demonic hair. It’s very much a love-it-or-hate-it game (… I hated it). Vanquish, however, is like a neon sci-fi hyperspeed Gears of War and much more my kind of thing, despite its embarrassing excuse for a plot.
