An upcoming update for Red Dead Online is adding a new Trader-related Frontier Pursuit called Moonshiners, so get that bathtub ready, because it’s time to make some bespoke, artisanal gin, you mother-humping mutton shunters.
The first addition to the Frontier Pursuits since they were added to RDO in September, Moonshiner is a specialist role, for Traders Rank five and up, that lets you build your own black market bootlegging business. Sell enough counterfeit hooch, and evade the law, and you’ll get to open your own underground speakeasy.
Once you’ve unlocked the Moonshiners role, you’ll be able to purchase a Moonshining Shack from Cripps (probably for 15 Gold, but haven’t seen this confirmed). The shack acts as a front for your underground dealings and you’ll have to develop your recipes and distillation techniques if you’re going to be the best honky-tonk in town. Along with all that moonshining, the update will include a new Outlaw Pass, a new Navy Revolver, more clothes, and additional Wardrobe space for storing your fanciest of pants.
The Moonshiners update is set for release on 13 December 2019.
