I’d really like a solid explanation as to why all the zombies aren’t hobbling around on their stubby, rotted nubs by this point.
Back in July, a third series based in the universe of The Walking Dead was announced. This time, it will follow a group of teens, bored of growing up safely sheltered from the zombie apocalypse, who decide to venture out into the dead wilds, to find themselves… or something. Now, it’s got a trailer and a title – The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
Seems like, while the teens are off on their adventures, some kind of fascist group, with enough petrol reserves to fuel at least one helicopter, has decided they’re the last hope for humanity. There’s always one, right?
Since all these kids have grown up in a sheltered community, you can expect a whole lot more surprise zombie attacks they should have heard coming several miles away. Rick’s extended gang of plucky tools are still getting ganked several years into surviving the zombie apocalypse, after all.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond probably won’t link directly to anything that’s happened in the other two series, but maybe there will be some crossover references, you never know. It’s set to release some time around April/May 2020.
