Nicolas Cage has been cast to play Nicolas Cage in a movie closely resembling the life of Nicolas Cage, but with added drug cartels. We’ve got to go deeper!
The Lionsgate movie, titled The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (LOL), revolves around Nicolas Cage drowning in debt and desperate for a role in an upcoming Tarantino film. To make ends meet, Cage ends up making an appearance at a Mexican billionaire’s birthday party, but the uber-fan turns out to be a drug cartel boss and shenanigans ensue.
He also occasionally talks to an egotistical 1990s version of himself who rides him for making too many crappy movies and for not being a star anymore.

As with anything involving Nicolas Cage, this could either be a thing of beauty or an absolute train wreck. I look forward to finding out. If you can’t wait, there’s always the upcoming Color Out of Space, that sees Cage dealing with some Lovecraftian mindbuggery, or Primal, in which he must battle an assassin, and a ship full of deadly exotic animals, for survival.
