2K Games apologises for social media hack, presumably adds two-factor authentication to its accounts

A number of the publisher’s Facebook and Twitter accounts were compromised over the weekend, and used to post racist and other tediously uninspired content because kids on the internet have zero ingenuity.

Besides the official 2K Games channels, Facebook pages for games including Borderlands, WWE 2K20, and Civilization were also hijacked at the same time, prompting some questions about the company’s internet security protocols. Like, “how is this even a thing in 2019?”

The company managed to recover its accounts, and has since issued a PR copy-paste excuse that “material was posted that does not reflect the values of 2K or our partners”, confirming that no cocks were actually hard.
