There was a bug in Destiny 2 that made some players unable to complete the quest that gets you Izanagi’s Burden, a super DPS sniper rifle, so Bungie fixed it. By fixed it, I mean broke a whole bunch of new things that were previously working fine.
Izanagi’s Burden is an exotic, energy sniper rifle with redonkulous burst damage and is the current go-to weapon for handling some of Destiny 2’s more challenging content. So, players would very much like to be able to, y’know, get it.
The initial bug appeared after the launch of the Shadowkeep expansion, leaving some players unable to obtain a crucial key mold required as part of the quest to obtain the rifle. Bungie acknowledged that this was an actual bug and promised to fix it by 29 October. Which they did; players are now able to obtain the key mold. However, three other steps in the quest are now broken. Thanks?
Bungie is apparently looking into it.
Once we have more info on the underlying bug, the proposed fix, and a timeline, we’ll let you know.
Have you managed to obtain Izanagi’s Burden? Are we missing out on something truly amazing? Share with the group.
