Dying Light is teaming up with Left 4 Dead 2, but what does it all mean? Cosmetics, it probably means cosmetics.

Never mind that Left 4 Dead 2 is 10 years old and Dying Light 2 is just around the corner; this genre’s all about resurrection and the love for L4D2 is still strong. There are no details, as yet, as to what this crossover is all about, but it’s probably L4D2 character skins and weapons, like the guitar, frying pan, and golf club pictured in the announcement, which isn’t nothing. It’s also kind of impressive that they’re even bringing out new content for Dying Light when its sequel is due to launch next year.
If all of this just opened up the festering wound that is your hope for Left 4 Dead 3, Turtle Rock Studios’ upcoming Back 4 Blood has been dubbed the series spiritual successor. So, like, get a Band-Aid or something.
