Are you a fan of Call of Duty? Are you super excited about that reboot of the first Modern Warfare? Well, if you’re a PC gamer, start making space on your drive (and your monthly data budget).
Outside of hard drive space, the game doesn’t seem particularly demanding if you’re going by minimum specs – you’ll need an i3, 8GB RAM, and a GTX670, most of which is older hardware. So at least the games are still a bit more accessible, but for the internet-disabled that 175 GB storage requirement is a bitch.
Minimum specs:
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950 – DirectX 12.0 compatible system
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Storage: 175 GB available hard drive space
- Internet: Broadband
Recommended specs:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit latest update
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X Processor
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD Radeon RX 580 – DirectX 12.0 compatible system
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Storage: 175 GB available hard drive space
- Internet: Broadband
To put it into perspective, Final Fantasy XV took 148GB and Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to take 150GB. So this is a huge download commitment, especially for South African gamers who may not have the greatest internet connections in the world.
