Are we getting another Indiana Jones movie? All signs point to no, even though the important people, like Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg, are totally still working to make it happen, at some point… maybe.
The fifth Indiana Jones movie was meant to come out next year, but has since been pushed to 2021, with the script having gone through several writers before ending up back with David Koepp, the individual responsible for writing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Cool, cool, cool…
Don’t worry, though, Koepp recently provided a thoroughly convincing update on the new film.
I’m working on it again. We’re still trying. I think we’ve got a good idea this time. We’ll see.
Whatever happens, it’s unlikely Shia LaBeouf will be back, especially after insulting Spielberg in the wake of Crystal Skull’s negative reception.
I think they should drag Sean Connery out of retirement and make the fifth film about two old men searching for escaped Nazis in Argentina, in an effort to retrieve some fantastical treasure, and, in the end, it will turn out that they were the treasure all along.
Better question: do we even need another Indiana Jones movie?
