Divinity: Original Sin dev Larian Studios is teasing something, and according to the internet, it’s Baldur’s Gate 3, and is this is VERY INTRIGUING, YOU GUYS, and now I must gather my composure before venturing forth.
And breathe.
Okay. So. Larian’s website has had a conspicuous makeover. But maybe there’s more. According to Twitter user kunken and subsequently confirmed by Kotaku, a video in the source code includes references to Baldur’s Gate 3, and Dungeons & Dragon publisher Wizards of the Coast.

Or, it did, anyway. I’ve tried to replicate this, but the line has since been deleted or replaced, and now it’s something about “Swen’s birthday party”.
Swen Vincke is Larian’s CEO, and – would you know it? – yesterday was his birthday.
All this excitement, and that on my birthday. Got nothing to share other than a) the coming days will be fun and b) I’m in need of calamari. pic.twitter.com/RCFgDXeost

More importantly, however, he didn’t even deny the Baldur’s Gate 3 thing.
And so, we Baldur’s wait. Get it? Because it rhymes with “gate”. I’m hilarious like that.
