The ridiculously popular life simulation video game, and mirror to our twisted psyches, The Sims, is nearly 20 years old and Maxis has collaborated with luxury Italian fashion house, Moschino, to bring the world some pixelacious style.

Ignore the fact that The Sims, in its current state, isn’t really a game you would associate with pixels and revel in these 8-bit wonders of textile technology. The pants don’t appear to have functional pockets, but girls are used to that by now anyway. Yay, fashion!

The collection is said to be “ready to wear”, which is fashion-speak for “for the plebs”, but I imagine it will still cost more than your average Woolies jean pant. However, I would happily wear some of these items, mostly because I want to look like I come from a Sierra adventure game circa 1989 and also to make people think their eyes are buffering.

One item from the collection, the Freezer Bunny hoodie, will also be available for your Sims to wear, within all the current Sims titles, after the opening of the collection on 13 April. Your Sim can wear it, you can wear it, it’s a whole thing.
