Publisher Team 17 has announced that Ghost Town Games is going with the old “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” mantra for the next helping of DLC for Overcooked 2, taking the ruthless aggression of life in the kitchen out into nature with Campfire Cook Off.
Before you cheapskates get too excited, while last month’s Chinese New Year-themed content was free, you’re going to have to whip out that credit card for s’more.
The upcoming DLC gives players an all-new map with a trail of new levels, new chefs, additional recipes and gameplay mechanics to spice up your life. The publisher has also revealed a season pass, which covers the freshly announced outdoorsy DLC as well as two more content packs out before the end of the year. The season pass goes live alongside the Campfire Cook Off DLC on 18 April.
And I’m quite excited about it, I’ll have you know, because Overcooked 2 is thunderingly good fun and, assuming you don’t mind being spat on and sworn at by friends, is one of the most addictive co-op games you’re likely to play.
