You all remember Scalebound, right? The one where you fight giant monsters with the help of your dragon BFF and some sick beats. That was the plan, anyway, up until Microsoft cancelled the Xbox One exclusive, after four years of development, because of stress/drama/time management issues.
Well, now there are rumours that dragons have been sighted on the horizon. According to Nintendo Insider, Scalebound might be making a comeback as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Microsoft lost the Scalebound trademark, after renewing it, because they couldn’t say exactly what they needed it for. They just needed it, okay? So it was free to be snaffled by anyone, including Nintendo.
There’s no indication if they will be using any of what Microsoft already developed, if they’re making an entirely new thing, or if any of this is real, but moving the game to the Nintendo Switch will probably mean scaling back (hur) some of the promised grandeur.
The last time I got to ride a dragon was in Drakan: Order of the Flame, which I loved, so I am down for moar dragon-riding action. Even if it’s only on the Switch, I guess. Can’t we make more Drakan games? I just want to feel alive again.
