This is the kind of thing that just tickles my balls. Everyone’s favourite zombie-apocalypse-surviving sociopath is set to join Tekken 7’s roster, as The Walking Dead’s Negan steps up to the plate at the end of the month.
The addition of Negan was announced in August last year, but now his date has been confirmed, along with someone named Julia Chang. I feel like I was expected to know who she is, but I do not. The only thing I know is that she is either for or against deforestation.
I couldn’t really tell from the trailer, but apparently, according to IMDB, they did get Jeffrey Dean Morgan for the voice. He’s uncredited, but then so is everyone else that recorded voices for the game. Negan doesn’t come cheap, at $7.99 in the US – I assume it will cost around R129 locally, like other premium DLC. He does come with his own stage and sound-bites, and you get to beat people to death with Lucille, so… worth it? The extra cost is probably due to licensing fees.
Negan will be available to download on 28 February 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
