That’s more than the domestic species discovered on Earth, ever. I mean, okay, those are also real species but in No Man’s Sky, you get neon pink dinosaur tiger antelope things, which are obviously much radder than, like, maggots. Besides, maggots are gross. Why would you even want to discover maggots on some new planet? That would be the biggest scientific disappointment of all time.
“Captain, we’ve got… maggots.”
Cam double-checks the bioscanner. It’s definitely maggots. This is even worse than the Duke Nukem Forever disc dump on Septima VIII.
“Come home, Cam. This mission’s a bust.”
The news comes via Hello Games boss Sean Murray, who’s probably super excited it’s not maggots.
For instance over night we hit 10 million species discovered in NMS… that’s more than has been discovered on earth.

So that’s 10 million confirmed species we can kill, people. Get on it.
